摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine the rotational state of a stepping motor by accurately detecting rotational state in a first section. SOLUTION: A rotation detection circuit 107 detects whether an induction signal generated by the rotation of the stepping motor 109 has exceeded a reference threshold voltage within a detection period or not. A detection section determination circuit 105 determines in which section among: a first section for detecting induction signals at least in the second quadrant immediately after main drive pulse drive; a second section for detecting induction signals in the third quadrant after the first section; and a third section after the second section an induction signal exceeding the reference threshold voltage is detected. A control circuit 103 heightens detection sensitivity in the first section more than that in the second section and the third section and drives and controls the stepping motor 109 by any of a plurality of main drive pulses having different levels of energy or a correction drive pulse having an energy larger than that of each main drive pulse according to detection results in the first section to the third section.
