PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a heater having no risk that electric power is wastefully consumed after the heater is sifficiently heated even if a user forgets to turn off a switch of the heater mounted on a vehicle. SOLUTION: The control device for the heater is mounted on the vehicle and controls energization to the heater 8 heated by electric power from a battery B. The control device is provided with a temperature detector 6 for detecting an outside temperature; energization amount detection means 3, 9, 10 for detecting an energization amount to the heater 8; a storage means 4 for storing an association relationship of the outside temperature and the energization amount to the heater 8; a means 3 for reading the energization amount in association with the outside temperature detected by the temperature detector 6 from the association relationship stored in the storage means 4; and a means 3 for stopping energization to the heater 8 when the read energization amount is detected by the energization amount detection means 3, 9, 10.
