PURPOSE: A food preserving box for a refrigerator is provided to enable a user to more easily put food in based on the amount of the vegetable or fruit accepted in a space. CONSTITUTION: A food preserving box for a refrigerator slides forward from the refrigerating compartment of the refrigerator to accept food. The box is composed of a body(100) and a front cover. The body forms a storage space(101) of which the upper side and the front side are opened and a handle(111) is formed on the front side of the floor panel(110) of the body. The front cover is rotatably connected to the opened front side of the body to open/close the front side of the storage space. An elastic retention part controlling the rotating angle is installed between the body and the front cover. The elastic retention part is composed of a compression spring and a pressing ball. The compression spring is installed in the receiving groove formed on the inner wall surface of the front cover. The pressing ball reciprocates with the pressure of the compression spring. |
