<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device preventing eyestrain of a user considering use environment. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes a display part that allows a user to visually recognize a display image by projecting image light corresponding to the display image on an eye of the user in a state where some ambient light reaches at least either one of eyes of the user. The image display device further includes: a measuring instrument that measures brightness of the ambient light; a determination means that determines brightness of the display image; a detection means that detects a difference between the brightness of the ambient light and the brightness of the display image; a decision means that decides stop timing where the use of the display part by the user is temporarily stopped based on a detection result of the detection means after the use of the display part is started by the user; and a notification processing means that performs stopping-of-use notification which prompts the user to stop the use of the display part in the stop timing decided by the decision means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
