<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a method for magnifying display, which facilitate the search of a selection item. <P>SOLUTION: A picture device (display device) 100 includes a display screen part 22, an operation button 11 and a cross key 12, and a controller 23. The display screen part 22 can display a first cursor 41, a second cursor 44, and a magnified display area 42 in which a part of a plurality of icons 40 is magnified and displayed. The controller 23 controls the magnified display area 42 to move according to the movement of the first cursor 41 located within the area 42 based on the operation of the operation button 11 and the cross key 12. The controller 23 further controls the magnified display area 42 to be fixed on the display screen part 22, the second cursor 44 is, in the fixed magnified display area 42, movable within the area 42 without moving outside the area 42 to thereby select any one of the plurality of icons 40 within the fixed magnified display area 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
