<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit of an ultrasonic motor, which stably drives a driven body even if the moment for rotating the driven body is changed depending on a position of the driven body. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit of the ultrasonic motor is provided with: a box body; a first piezoelectric element which is constituted by laminating an upper active region and a lower active region in a third direction, and arranged in the box body, a driven body having a spherical part; a piezoelectric element holder which positions the first piezoelectric element in the box body; a pressing member which brings the first piezoelectric element into pressure contact with the driven body by imparting a pressing force to the first piezoelectric element; a cap having an opening for rotatably supporting the driven body around a plurality of shafts; and a pressing force adjustment means which adjusts the pressing force for bringing the first piezoelectric element into pressure contact with the driven body with respect to a contact part in which the driven body receives a drive force at least in either position of a position in which the first piezoelectric element is energized, and a position in which the driven body is energized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
