<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bud-removing device capable of surely removing the buds of a potato at high efficiency, and suitably usable in the applications for treating a large number of potatoes such as the production of potato chips. <P>SOLUTION: The bud-removing device for potatoes includes treating cylinders 3 capable of storing one or a plurality of the potatoes, and rotary plates 2 rotating while covering the bottom openings of these treating cylinders 3. The bud-removing device is constituted so that the potatoes stored in the treating cylinders 3 may be turned by the rotation of the rotary plates 2 to allow the outer surfaces of the potatoes to slidably contact with friction layers 3a formed on the inner peripheries of the treating cylinders 3 and to allow the bud protruded from the outer surface to be removed with the skin covering the outer surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
