PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer side coupling member for a fixed constant velocity universal joint, capable of improving yield and reducing manufacturing costs by reducing after-machining after forging and reducing machining manhours. SOLUTION: The outer side coupling member for a fixed-type constant velocity universal joint includes a cup part 16 and a shaft part 18 extending in an axial direction from a bottom of the cup part 16. The outer side coupling member comprises carbon steels for machine structural use, and a track groove 12, an inner diameter spherical face part 14a, a cup inlet chamfer 12b, a track chamfer 12c, a track inlet chamfer 12a, positions excluding a boots attaching part 19 on the outer diameter face of the cup part 16, and the center hole 13 of the end face 18a of the shaft part 18 are finished by cold forging.
