Number plates, in particular, motor vehicle number plates, are frequently forged or stolen and used for other vehicles. In order to prevent the above, a number of anti-theft devices are proposed. Conventional anti-theft devices are however, expensive and/or complicated to produce. According to the invention, a number plate (10) can be produced designed to effectively prevent manipulations, in particular, theft, in a simple manner. The number plate body (11) of the number plate (10) is provided with at least one pre-weakened line (17) on a rear side (18). The number plate thus breaks (10) on removal thereof from the vehicle. |
