<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio distance measuring system and radio terminal for enhancing distance accuracy when UWB communication method is used. <P>SOLUTION: In this radio terminal 200, signal path differs between distance measuring operation and synchronization establishing operation; therefore, a detection result in distance measuring operation is input to a comparator 208 without going through an integrator 204. Thus the accuracy in distance measurement can be enhanced without any time delay caused by integration processing because the integration processing is not included in distance measuring operation of the radio terminal 200. Additionally, an integral result obtained by the integrator 204 is used for comparative reference voltage used in the comparator 208. Thereby, the integral result with noise signal component removed from the detection signal is used as the comparative reference voltage to optimize this comparative reference voltage.
