SYSTEM FOR DETECTING OBSTACLES ON VEHICLES, APPLIED TO CAR WASHES

System for detecting obstacles on vehicles, applied to car washes. It includes a transmitter element (1) and a receptor element (2) connected to the travelling wash unit. The transmitter element (1) is defined by a laser pointer (7) mounted on a body (6) coupled to the travelling unit (4) and that has a laser beam (5) output axial aperture (9). Between the front face of the pointer (7) and the output aperture (9) there forms a chamber (10) that is initially cylindrical and then conical until it reaches said output aperture (9) of the laser beam (5). There is a pressurised air inlet from an external duct (11) passing through a radial aperture (12) of the body (6) open to the chamber (10), this air exiting through said axial aperture (9) and a radial aperture (13) set back from the input radial aperture (12). The receiver element (2) is connected to another body (15) opposite the front body (6) and provided with a laser beam (5) input axial aperture (17).
