摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical signal amplification device which is free from generating oscillation due to optical resonance and stably performs an optical signal amplification operation. <P>SOLUTION: The optical signal amplification device 10 includes: a first semiconductor optical amplification device 14 for receiving input signal light Iin of a first wavelength &lambda;1; a second semiconductor optical amplification device 16 for receiving first ambient light not including the first wavelength &lambda;1 and control light Ic of the first wavelength &lambda;1; a first Bragg reflection grating 20 for reflecting the first ambient light output from the first semiconductor optical amplification device 14 and for input of the first ambient light to the second semiconductor optical amplification device 16; and a second Bragg reflection grating 24 for reflecting second ambient light output from the second semiconductor optical amplification device 16, and for reinput of the second ambient light to the second semiconductor optical amplification device 16 to perform negative feedback amplification. In the optical signal amplification device 10, a stable optical signal amplification operation can be acquired because the first Bragg reflection grating 20 and the second Bragg reflection grating 24 have reflection wavelength bands which do not substantially overlap each other to suppress oscillation or optical resonance between the first Bragg reflection grating 20 and the second Bragg reflection grating 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
