<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stored data from being illegally used by a third part when a portable medium mounted to a complex machine and left untouched has been carried away after ending print. <P>SOLUTION: This image formation device includes: a medium mounting part 104 for connecting a portable recording medium thereto; a connection detection part for detecting the connection of the portable recoding medium to the medium mounting part 104 and the termination of the connection; and a printer 402 for executing printing based on information stored in the portable recording medium. The image formation device further includes: a medium protection processing part 501 for carrying out recording medium protecting processing for preventing data stored in the portable recording medium from being used; and a control part causing the medium protection processing part 501 to carry out the recording medium protecting processing when it is detected that the portable recording medium is connected to the medium mounting part 104 for a predetermined time after ending the print by the printer part 402. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
