<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper alloy member which does not deposit a scale on a part that comes in contact with high-temperature water even when used in a heat exchanger and does not degrade the heat exchange performance in a process of being used, and to provide the heat exchanger using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The copper alloy member 1 is used in the heat exchanger that heats water with a refrigerant, has a substrate 2 made from copper or copper alloy, and a plating layer 3 formed at least on the surface of a side of the substrate 2, which comes in contact with water.
