<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm controller and camera for improving the detection accuracy of a diaphragm opening position of an in-lens diaphragm lever. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A diaphragm flywheel 445 is meshed with a switch pedestal lever 444 moving while following the motion of a diaphragm lever 402, and a diaphragm initial position switch 446 is disposed in the switch pedestal lever 444. When the switch pedestal lever 444 affected by moment of inertia cannot follow the motion of a forward moving abutting section 402f and the abutting section 402f separates from an arm 444a, the diaphragm initial position switch 446 is opened. The diaphragm opening position of a lens side diaphragm lever 3, is accurately detected, therefore, as a turn start timing of the diaphragm lever 402. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
