METHOD AND TERMINAL FOR SENDING SCAN REPORTS IN MULTI-CARRIER BASED SYSTEM

A method and terminal for sending scan reports in a multi-carrier based system are provided. The method comprises the following steps. A terminal acquires a first configuration parameter of a carrier indicated by a Base Station (BS) and a second configuration parameter needed by the terminal to send a scan report, wherein said carrier indicated by the BS is one of or a plurality of the carriers of the BS and/or of a neighboring BS of the BS. The terminal scans the carrier indicated by the BS according to the first configuration parameter and generates a scan report, and sends the scan report to the BS according to the second configuration parameter.
