MANUFACTURING OF MGSO4 AND SIO2 BY MECHANOCHEMICAL REACTION FROM FE-NI SLAG

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of magnesium sulfate and silicon dioxide from waste ferronickel slag is provided to extract the magnesium sulfate and the silicon dioxide by a mechanochemical crushing and the activation. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of magnesium sulfate and silicon dioxide from waste ferronickel slag comprises the following steps: crushing the ferronickel slag using a vortex mill; activating the ferronickel slag using a centrifugal vibration mill or a planetary mill; dissolving the ferronickel slag using sulfuric acid; and removing an insoluble component to obtain the magnesium sulfate and the silicon dioxide.
