In a hard chine craft with a hull shaped to have conical surfaces, the framework on which the hull skin is secured includes straight stiffening members 20-29 extending along generator lines of the conical hull form. In the case of a metal boat the stiffening members may be strips arranged with their broad faces substantially at right angles to the hull plates to which they are welded, Fig. 3. The strips pass through cut-aways 30 in the frame members 10-15 and are welded thereto along one edge. Specification 304,968 [Class 113(ii)], is referred to. |
