PURPOSE: A device and a method for receiving a digital broadcast are provided to enable a buffer to stably buffer an audio signal when an instant signal defect is generated, thereby removing a problem that a broadcast is disconnected. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(100) receives a digital broadcasting signal. A de-multiplexer(200) separates an audio signal and a video signal from the digital broadcasting signal. The de-multiplexer extracts an audio frame and a time stamp from the audio signal. A decoder(300) decodes the audio frame. An audio frame complementing unit(400) determines whether the audio frame has errors.
