<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which is excellent in ink absorbency, and by which an image having a high density and being excellent in scratch-resistance can be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet recording medium has an ink accepting layer containing a gas phase method silica, and a surface layer containing polymer particles on a base material in this order from the base material side.
