<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform error notification more properly, regarding a portable terminal. <P>SOLUTION: When a user requests printing, a digital camera 40 acquires the printing request through an operation part 49, and connection to a USB device 30 of a composite machine 20 is performed through a USB host 50 by radio communication, and printing instruction is transmitted to the composite machine 20. When receiving from the composite machine 20, error information showing existence of an error by which printing cannot be executed, error notification for displaying an error content on a display part 48 is executed until a distance between the multifunction machine 20 and the digital camera 40 becomes shorter than a prescribed reference distance. When the distance between the composite machine 20 and the digital camera 40 becomes shorter than the prescribed reference distance, the error notification is finished, and solution notification for displaying a solution for the error on the display part 48 is executed until reception of the error information is stopped.
