PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a paper bundle by stress concentration on the center folding plate tip in center folding processing, in a postprocessing device for performing the center folding processing by pushing paper in a folding roller by a center folding plate 51.

SOLUTION: The tip of the center folding plate 51 has a plurality of projection parts different in a width. For relieving the stress concentration on a projection part of a narrow width in the center folding processing, the tip of the projection parts e2 and e3 of the narrow width is arranged in a position retreated more than the virtual line binding the tip of the projection parts e1 and e4 wide in a width.
