摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermopile-type infrared sensor having infrared detection sensitivity improved by heightening the absorption efficiency of infrared rays. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The structure of the thermopile-type infrared sensor is provided with: a light-receiving surface (a region surrounded by B1-B1, B2-B2, B3-B3, and B4-B4) which receives infrared rays and emits heat; a substrate 1 which functions as a heat sink; and a thermopile pattern 3 formed by electrically serially connecting a plurality of thermocouple patterns which connect a hot junction to the light-receiving surface and connect a cold junction to the substrate 1. A thermopile pattern 3 is constituted of two layers 3a and 3b or more, and the thermopile pattern 3 occupies approximately all the region of the light-receiving surface.
