PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying belt capable of preventing defective reading of an encoder at the welded joint part of the belt. SOLUTION: The conveying belt 23 for conveying a body to be conveyed includes: a belt body 50 having the joint part 65 obtained by weld-joining both end portions of a belt-like base material; and an encoder part 70 disposed on the outer surface of the belt body 50 along the peripheral direction. The encoder part 70 includes: a first recording layer 60a disposed over the entire periphery of the belt body 50; and a second recording layer 61a, at least a part of which is disposed in an area different from a crossing portion between the first recording layer 60a and the joint part 65 in the width direction of the belt body 50, and also, in an area not crossing the joint part 65.
