PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idle stop control device capable of appropriately preventing a battery from an overdischarge state during idle stop control by accurately detecting the charged state of the battery. SOLUTION: The idle stop control device includes: an idle stop control means 45 carrying out idle stop control for stopping an engine when predetermined conditions are fulfilled, and starting the engine when start operation is detected during this control; and a charged state detecting means 41 for detecting the charged state of the battery 19. The idle stop control means 45 determines whether the charged state of the battery 19 is a state suitable for idle stop control based on load voltage detected by connecting the battery 19 to an ACG (alternating current generator) starter motor 18 during the idle stop control. Connection between the battery 19 and the ACG starter motor 18 is performed in a short time to the extent of not rotating the motor 18. When the state is not suitable for the control, warning by a stand-by lamp 34 and restarting of the engine are carried out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
