PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure dimensions required for discharging foreign matter through an ejection orifice to the outside when the foreign matter enters a pressure chamber, and further to enable size of an opening of a filter to be increased to provide an advantage of facilitating an ink flow into the pressure chamber. SOLUTION: Each of the ejection orifices has a circular cross section having a larger diameter and a smaller diameter. The filter forms a plurality of rectangular openings. The relationships D1>L1, D1<D2 and D2>L2≥D1 are satisfied wherein D1 and D2 are the smaller diameter and the larger diameter of the ejection orifice, respectively, L1 and L2 are the shorter side and the longer side of the rectangular opening, respectively.
