摘要 Disclosed is heating/cooking equipment that makes it possible to accurately determine boiling over. The heating/cooking equipment includes: a top plate (104) that is connected with a reference potential; a heating section (105) that heats an article to be heated that is placed on the top plate; an electrode (106) that is arranged below the top plate; an electrostatic capacitance detection section (107) that detects the electrostatic capacitance of the electrode; a boiling-over detection section (108) that detects whether or not a substance that is being cooked, within the article to be heated, has boiled over onto the top plate by means of the value of the electrostatic capacitance detected by the electrostatic capacitance detection section; and a control section (109) that controls the heating operation of the heating section in accordance with the boiling-over detection result obtained by the boiling-over detection section. The electrostatic capacitance detection section (107) detects changes in the electrostatic capacitance of the electrode by utilising the increased closeness of capacitative coupling between the electrode and the reference potential produced by increases in the amount of boil-over of the substance that is being cooked when this substance that is being cooked boils over onto the top plate, the moisture contained in the substance that is being cooked functioning as a dielectric.
