<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a banknote processing machine capable of attaining simplification, cost reduction and downsizing. <P>SOLUTION: The banknote processing machine has an element arranging part 31, which has a light-receiving element group 33 consisting of a plurality of light-receiving elements 32 arranged facing one side of a conveying path 25 for the banknote and aligned in a direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the banknote, a light-emitting element 34 arranged on one side of the light-receiving element group 33 and an other side light-receiving element 35 arranged on the other side of the light-receiving element group 33, a first flection part arranged opposite to the element arranging part 31 across the conveying path 25 for inflecting the irradiation light of the light-emitting element 34, a second flection part for inflecting the irradiation light, inflected by the first flection part, to the light-receiving element 35 on the other side, and a light-guiding member for diffusing the irradiation light, inflected by the first flection part, to the light-receiving element group 33 approximately equally. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
