AUDIO PROCESSING APPARATUS AND AUDIO PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio processing apparatus capable of removing an echo signal from an audio signal detected by a microphone while reproducing the natural sense of realism having no sense of suffocation.

SOLUTION: The audio processing apparatus includes: a stereo adaptive filter 151 for removing a signal component emitted from a speaker 11 and superimposed as an echo signal from an audio signal detected by the two-channel microphone 12 set in an environment where sounds emitted from the speaker 11 can be detected, based on the audio signal outputted to the speaker 11; a smoothing processing section 152 for applying smoothing processing to the audio signal from which the echo signal is removed by the stereo adaptive filter 151; and a localization sense noise signal adding section 153 for adding a noise signal having the sense of localization to the audio signal subjected to the smoothing processing by the smoothing processing section 152.
