PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool fixing device capable of obtaining strong fixing force for the tool. SOLUTION: The tool fixing device includes a body section (20) for holding a tool (50) in order to fix the tool (50) that has a rod-like portion (51), a nut member (30) for thread-engaging with the body section (20), and a linear-moving member (40) that thread-engages with the nut member (30) and also moves in the direction of the longitudinal axis (Ax) of the tool (50). The body section (20), the nut member (30), and the linear-moving member (40) form a differential screw mechanism so that the tool (50) is fixed to the body section (20) by a pressing force activated by the linear-moving member (40) based on rotational torque given to the nut member (30).
