PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for mounting a plate for a slide gate in which a plate pressing member is not floated and the sliding of the plate is smoothly carried out. SOLUTION: The device for mounting the plate for the slide gate includes: a plate storage frame 11 in which a refractory plate 4 is stored; the plate pressing member 24 arranged in the plate storage frame 11 and allowing the refractory plate 4 to be held in the plate storage frame 11 by pressing the refractory plate 4 in one direction in the plate storage frame 11; and guide means 10A enabling the plate pressing member 24 to advance to/retreat from only the one direction in the plate storage frame 11.
