<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for a lithium ion battery having low viscosity, high specific conductivity, hardly decomposing even at high potential, and capable of using a material in which charge discharge can be conducted up to a high positive potential region as a positive active material. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrolyte for the lithium ion battery prepared by dissolving a lithium salt in an organic solvent, the organic solvent contains a chain saturated hydrocarbon dinitrile compound in which a nitrile group is bonded to both ends of a chain saturated hydrocarbon compound, at least one nitrile compound out of a chain ether nitrile compound in which at least one nitrile group is bonded to both ends of a chain ether compound and a cyanoacetic acid ester, a cyclic carbonate, and at least one of a cyclic ester and a chain carbonate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
