<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively suppress temperature rising in a roller bearing that supports the rotation shaft portion of a developer carrying member and in a developer sealing member surrounding the rotation shaft portion. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a developing device 4 capable of suppressing generation of rotation failure in a developer carrying member, and an image forming apparatus PR mounted with the developing device. The developing device 4 includes a sub-circulating device 46 that exchanges and circulates a developer between a first area A21 and a second area A22 facing sealing members 43s, 44s surrounding rotation shafts 431, 441 of developer carrying members, respectively, in the side including an area A1 where the developer carrying direction changes in the course from the developer carrying member 44 to the developer carrying member 43. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
