PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of lubricating oil by suppressing deformation of a rotary case in a travelling unit (a reducer). SOLUTION: The travelling unit 1 for a construction machine includes a body case 2, the rotary case 3 which is rotatably held with respect to the body case 2 and includes inner teeth 3a formed on an inner circumference, a reduction gear mechanism 5 housed in the rotary case 3 and meshing with the inner teeth 3a, a cover member 6 for covering an opening of the rotary case 3, a bolt 7 fixing the cover memver 6 to the rotary case 3, and an O-ring 8 arranged between the cover member 6 and rotary case 3. The cover member 6 includes a bottom part 9 for covering the opening and a cylindrical part 10 extending in a case axial direction from an end of the bottom part 9. The rotary case 3 and cover member 6 are fixed by fitting an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical part 10 to an outer circumference surface of an end part of the rotary case 3.
