<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video apparatus and remote editing device associated with an editing means including a navigation function (display guidance and voice guidance function) for frames of video contents in place of a conventional button operation type remote controller. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In order to obtain such a device capable of achieving comfortable video content editing like a car navigation system, optimal technologies of five technical elements are established. The five technical elements include: a technology established for accurately extracting features of each of frames of video contents; a navigation display and graphic user interface technology for automating on the basis of the technology, various scene searches irreducible for editing the video contents at high speed and for efficiently editing these scenes; a technology for giving added values such as Internet information to these scenes; and the hardware of a video apparatus and a remote editing device for enabling such editing.
