<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient measuring method for concentrating an unsaturated aldehyde compound contained in an object to be measured and precisely analyzing the amount of the compound, and a gas cartridge for measuring the concentration of the unsaturated aldehyde compound in the air suited to implement such measuring method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for measuring the amount of an unsaturated aldehyde compound includes the steps of acting a halogenating agent to the unsaturated aldehyde compound in the object to be measured to obtain a halogenated aldehyde compound, acting 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine to the halogenated aldehyde compound to obtain the halogenated hydrazone compound, and calculating the amount of the unsaturated aldehyde compound in the object by quantitatively determining the halogenated hydrazone compound.
