<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method and a drying device capable of adjusting a moisture content of a surface layer part and that of an inner layer part of the admixture for compression-molded plywood formed into the mat shape, to be approximately equal to each other without separating the admixture. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An upper air chamber R1 and a lower air chamber R2 are defined by an air-permeable partitioning plate 20 as an air passage, and the admixture MT as a dried object can be set on the air-permeable partitioning plate 20. In the upper air chamber R1, a heater 40 as a heat source is installed, and an air pump 50 for increasing an atmospheric pressure in the upper air chamber R1 is disposed. The hot air continuously accumulated in the upper air chamber R1 is forcibly communicated with the inside of the admixture MT by utilizing difference in atmospheric pressures between the upper air chamber R1 and the lower air chamber R2, and moved to a lower air chamber R2 side.
