摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a solid wire by which an internal oxidation layer is efficiently oxidized/removed by optimizing annealing atmospheric conditions for Si-containing steel of various Si contents, thereby reducing the depth of internal oxidation. SOLUTION: In the case of softening/annealing a steel wire containing 0.20-2.0% Si, the temperature inside a softening/annealing furnace is set at 700-800°C, and the softening/annealing is performed for 90-210 min. under such conditions that satisfy a predetermined relation with respect to the Si concentrationα% incorporated in the steel wire when the oxygen concentration inside the softening/annealing furnace is defined as x vol.% (wherein, 0.1≤x≤10), and the vapor concentration is defined as y vol.% (wherein, 0.1≤y≤20).
