<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the cost consciousness of a user by displaying the amount of water used for washing rice or washing a rice washing tub in an automatic rice washing apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A rice washing device (3) in the automatic rice washing apparatus has the rice washing tub (11), and water can be fed into the rice washing tub (11) from an upper water feed part (8) and a lower water feed part (15). The upper and lower water feed parts (8) and (15) have upper and lower open/close valves (31a and 31b), respectively, and a flow sensor (SE1) is disposed on the upstream side of a branch part of the upper and lower water feed parts (8 and 15) in a feeding channel. The automatic rice washing apparatus has a controller for computing the amount of water used based on the flow detection data of the flow sensor (SE1) and the time of opening of the upper and lower open/close valves (31a and 31b), and displaying the computed amount of water used in a display part (33).
