<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape feeder which performs the position alignment of a carrier tape easily with sufficient accuracy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A position alignment guide 10 sliding to the feed direction of a carrier tape 4 is equipped in the side of a suction aperture 7 which suctions by a nozzle and takes out an electronic component housed in the carrier tape. A mark 11 is applied to the position alignment guide 10, if the carrier tape 4 is aligned correctly, the position alignment guide 10 is made to slid aligning the mark 11 with a front end or back end position of the electronic component.
