PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tile-basis graphics processing system. SOLUTION: In the tile-basis graphics processor, a primitive list (bin) is prepared for a 2×2-tile block 40. For each primitive, the processor decides and stores distribution information in the bin that represents distribution of a primitive in an area of a tile set to which the bin corresponds. Accordingly, a primitive 42, which is found present by means of a border box 43, in two of four tiles that form the 2×2-tile set 40 is also related to a tile coverage bit map in a form of "0101" which shows that the primitive 42 is situated at the tiles "1" and "3" of the 2×2-tile group 40. The graphics processor uses the coverage bit map (information) to decide whether a primitive should be processed for a tile in current processing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
