PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a program for quickly displaying a new image while preventing an after image from remaining when an instruction to display the new image is input during rewriting display content. SOLUTION: A display control part of the display device, when the display indication of an image of next page is input by an operation part, performs erasure processing of erasing an image displayed on a memory display and, thereafter, performs the write processing for writing the image of the next page to rewrite the image displayed on the memory display. A CPU of the display device, when the instruction to display an image of the page after the next page is input by the operation part while the display control part writes the image of the next page, stops the write processing, performs erasure processing for erasing the image of the next page only for a period corresponding to the period of the write processing and, thereafter, controls the display control part so as to write the image of the page after the next page.
