Mobile photovoltaic panel support assembly comprises a rack for holding one or more photovoltaic panels; a plurality of support posts for supporting the rack; a base for receiving the support posts, the base having means for attachment to a substrate; and a quick-release connection in each support post or at the site of attachment of the rack to the post or the base to the post, to release the rack from the support post and/or from the base.
