A portable apparatus for reclaiming material includes a container, a perforated platform (2) at one end of the container for receiving material, a first conveyor device (12) below the platform (2) for conveying solid material in a direction towards a first end of a trommel (3) mounted for rotation in the container about an approximately horizontal axis, the trommel (3) having a perforated cylindrical wall with formations (6) on the interior thereof for feeding relatively coarse solid material from the first end of the trommel to the second end, and with formations (7) on the exterior thereof for feeding relatively finer solid material from the first end of the trommel to the second end, and a second conveyor device (15) for raising solid material arriving at the second end of the trommel to a level above the platform and above the axis of rotation of the trommel. |
