The aim of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for purifying air to be taken into an internal combustion engine, wherein air introduced from an external air inlet port is purified by an ozone lamp arranged in a filter housing, and the UV-C reflection efficiency is improved by coating the components of the apparatus with a stainless material, to thereby enhance the air purifying performance. Further, the present invention aims to provide an apparatus for purifying air to be taken into an internal combustion engine, comprising: an air filter for filtering air introduced into the internal combustion engine using a photocatalyst; a filter housing for accommodating the air filter therein; and an ozone lamp arranged below the air filter and in the lower portion of the filter housing to provide the air filter with a UV-C light source. The apparatus of the present invention improves the combustion efficiency of the internal combustion engine, and continuously supplies physically and chemically stable and purified air mixed with ozone and hydroxyl groups to the internal combustion engine, thus providing intake air which satisfies a theoretical mixture ratio to the internal combustion engine and contributing to a complete combustion and a stable combustion control during operation of the internal combustion engine. |
