Disclosed is a display apparatus in which, among a plurality of sides which define a frame (30), a pair of opposed sides are respectively provided with clearance adjusting members (54, 64) which adjust clearances between projections (52, 62) and a display panel (10) arranged in an inner peripheral side panel placement portion, so that the clearance adjusting members protrude at least partly toward the inner peripheral side panel placement portion.  The thickness of the portion of one of the clearance adjusting members (54) that protrudes toward the inner peripheral side panel placement portion in the protrusion direction is different from the thickness of the portion of the other clearance adjusting member (64) that protrudes toward the inner peripheral side panel placement portion in the protrusion direction.
