<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection-type display device using a plurality of light sources, the device performing reliable control with respect to the management of the temperatures of the light sources, restraining the whitening, shortened lives, blackening and lowered luminance of the light sources, and being high in quality and reliability and usable for various uses. <P>SOLUTION: The projection-type display device 1 includes; a plurality of light sources 21a, 21b; a display device part 5; light-combining part which combines the output light of the plurality of light sources; a light-condensing part which transmits the output light of the light-combining part to a display device; and a projection part which projects images by means of the output light of the display device part. In addition, the display device is provided with cooling fans which are provided in the plurality of light sources 21a, 21b, respectively, and a control part which controls the blowing-out positions S1a, S1b of the cooling fans, the flowing-out positions S1a, S1b of the cooling fans being changed to each other. The control part changes the blowing-out positions of the cooling fans on the basis of information at least either on the rotations about optical axes of the plurality of light sources 21a, 21b or on the tilts of the optical axes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
