<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical space transmitter which can be installed without requiring a provider to pay attention to communication distance or a situation change of a communication space. <P>SOLUTION: The optical space transmitter is a first device in a system which performs optical space communications using an optical beam that transmits in a free space between a first device A and a second device B. The optical space transmitter has beam emitters 111 to 115 which emit an optical beam 11, and a control means 110 for allowing the beam emitter to emit an optical beam, the amplitude of which changes in a first period, to the second device as an adjustment beam to adjust the direction of an optical beam 10 from the second device to the optical space transmitter.
