摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an electric vehicle capable of securing power transmission from a drive source by increasing the temperature of hydraulic oil of an automatic transmission more preferentially than a battery. <P>SOLUTION: The controller for the electric vehicle includes the automatic transmission AT, which is arranged at the downstream position of the drive source having a motor (motor/generator) MG and achieves a plurality of gear shift stages by changing the engagement of friction fastening elements, and a gear shift control means (Fig.6), which disengages and engages the friction fastening elements by a hydraulic pressure when a gear is shifted. In this controller, the gear shift control means has a first cold-machine gear shift control portion (Step S107, Fig.7 (not shown)).
