<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an electric vehicle capable of securing power transmission from a drive source by increasing the temperature of hydraulic oil of an automatic transmission more preferentially than a battery. <P>SOLUTION: The controller for the electric vehicle includes the automatic transmission AT, which is arranged at the downstream position of the drive source having a motor (motor/generator) MG and achieves a plurality of gear shift stages by changing the engagement of friction fastening elements, and a gear shift control means (Fig.6), which disengages and engages the friction fastening elements by a hydraulic pressure when a gear is shifted. In this controller, the gear shift control means has a first cold-machine gear shift control portion (Step S107, Fig.7 (not shown)). This first cold-machine gear shift control portion performs hydraulic pressure reduction inertia phase control that extends a slip fastening time by reducing the fastening hydraulic pressure of the friction fastening elements of the automatic transmission AT when gear shift takes place in the first cold machine period in a state that the hydraulic oil of the automatic transmission AT and the battery 4 are in a cold machine state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
