<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular auxiliary power supply system which enables an operation improved in conversion efficiency of an auxiliary power supply apparatus, in consideration of the traveling position of a train and surrounding conditions. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vehicular auxiliary power supply system is provided with: the auxiliary power supply apparatus 13 which is incorporated in each of a train of vehicles and converts DC power from an aerial wire into AC power for AC power supply to an in-vehicle load; a train traveling position information providing unit 19 which provides the traveling position of the train as train traveling position information; a line surroundings information providing unit 20 which provides the surrounding conditions of a line on which the train travels as line surroundings information; and a control unit 15 which controls the auxiliary power supply apparatus 13, based on the output current and output voltage from the auxiliary power supply apparatus 13 plus the train traveling position information and the line surroundings information.
